You've found us, the cricket team in Scotland that caters for the young at heart if not in body.
The Forty Club (Scotland District) is open to those cricketers in the twilight of their career hoping for another great innings another great bowling performance.
We cater for enjoyable cricket played on good wickets, there is also a very competitive Inter District Competition.
Our aim is to play and take competitive cricket played in the proper spirit and behaviour to schools and district age sides throughout Scotland.
We have also added a nice blend of club fixtures at picturesque grounds around Scotland including Dollar, Comrie, Gargunnock, Manderston, Bute, Helensburgh and Crathie.
There are 14 School Fixtures during April, May and June.
On July 7/8 the club takes part in the now very succesful XL Club Inter-District Northern Festival, this year being staged at Netherfield CC, Kendal. There are further games against Scotland District Age sides as well as two matches with the Strathclyde Police. The season for us veterans comes to a close in September as we pit our wits at opposite ends of the country on the Clyde Estuary and Royal Deeside.
This year also sees the Scotland District host the Forty Club Spring Luncheon on Sunday April 13th at Cardross Golf Club with the main speaker Sandy Strang providing the entertainment.
